Website Reporting Requirements

Consistent with updates to A.R.S. 43-1603 in April of 2015, all STO's must include the percentage and dollar amount of scholarships given to students whose family income meets 185% and 342.25% of poverty level in the previous fiscal year for each type of scholarship. 

 

Fiscal Year 13-14

Students whose family income is up to 185% of poverty level

1) Original Tuition Tax Credit Scholarship Program

  • % of total fiscal year scholarships awarded to these students: 24.54%
  • Amount awarded to these students during fiscal year 13-14:  $2,738,034

2) Overflow/PLUS Tuition Tax Credit Scholarship Program

  • % of total fiscal year scholarships awarded to these students: 37.53%
  • Amount awarded to these students during fiscal year 13-14:  $1,556,994

 Students whose family income is 185% - 342.25% of poverty level

1) Original Tuition Tax Credit Scholarship Program:

  • % of total fiscal year scholarships awarded to these students: 29.67%
  • Amount awarded to these students during fiscal year 13-14:  $3,309,620

2) Overflow/PLUS Tuition Tax Credit Scholarship Program

  • % of total fiscal year scholarships awarded to these students: 33.84%
  • Amount awarded to these students during fiscal year 13-14:  $1,403,797

 

Audited Financials

Consistent with Arizona law, an independent CPA audit of ACSTO’s financial records is filed annually with the Arizona Department of Revenue (effective as of 2011).

    Notice: A school tuition organization cannot award, restrict, or reserve scholarships solely on the basis of a donor’s recommendation. A taxpayer may not claim a tax credit if the taxpayer agrees to swap donations with another taxpayer to benefit either taxpayer’s own dependent. A.R.S. 43-1603 (C)
